Participate to the ambplaylist2025

The ambplaylist is an annual music compilation curated by amb (= a music blog) community on youtube. Each year, members of the community selects a diverse range of songs that represent their best new music discoveries and releases. The ambplaylist2025 features an exciting collection of tracks from various genres and artists, showcasing the vibrant music landscape of the year 2025.

This platform allows music enthusiasts to engage with the playlist by selecting their top 20 favorite tracks, sharing their selections, and seeing how their choices compare with other listeners. It's a fun way to discover new music and participate in a community-driven celebration of the year's best tunes!

While you can use the platform anonymously, creating a free account offers several benefits:

• Cross-Device Sync: Access your selections from any device by logging in.
• Vote History: Your votes are permanently saved to your account.
• Personalized Identity: Set a display name that appears on your shared playlists.
• Profile Management: Update your display name anytime from the Profile page.
• Add Videos: Only registered users can add new videos to the playlist.

To create an account, click "Login" in the header and select "Create one for free".

If you choose not to create an account, your identity is browser-based:

• Your technical identity is tied to the browser and computer you're currently using.
• If you change browsers, use a different computer, or clear your browser's cache, you will lose access to your current identity.
• Your playlist selections will remain in our database, but you won't be able to access or modify them without your original browser identity.
• To maintain consistent access to your selections, always use the same browser and computer, and avoid clearing your browser cache.

You can select your Top 20 songs from multiple pages:

1. Main Participate Page: Browse the full playlist and click "Select" next to each song.
2. Best of 2025 Results Page: See what others are voting for and select songs directly from the results.
3. Shared Playlists: View other users' Top 20s and select songs you like from their selections.
4. You can select up to 20 songs total. The counter will show your progress.
5. To remove a song from your selection, click "Unselect".
6. Your selections are automatically saved as you make them.

Throughout the platform, you'll see a red heart icon (❤️) next to songs you've already selected:

• Best of 2025 Page: Quickly see which popular songs you've also chosen.
• Shared Playlists: Discover which songs you have in common with other users.
• This visual indicator helps you avoid duplicate selections and discover shared tastes.

Found a great track that's not in the playlist? Registered users can add it!

• Account Required: You must be logged in with a registered account to add videos.
• Click on "Add a Video" in the navigation menu (visible only when logged in).
• Paste the YouTube video URL into the form.
• The video must be published in 2025 to be eligible.
• The system will automatically fetch the video details and add it to the playlist.
• Once added, the video will be available for everyone to select.
• If you have fewer than 20 selections, the video is automatically added to your Top 20.
• You can track videos you've added from your Profile page.

Don't have an account yet? Create one for free by clicking "Login" in the header.

• Click on "Your Top20" in the navigation to see your selected songs.
• On this page, you can also change your User ID if desired.
• Use the "Copy Your Link" button to get a shareable link to your playlist.
• Share this link with friends so they can see your Top 20 selection!
• Play All: Click the "Play All" button to watch all your selected videos in the video player.

Watch your playlists with the built-in video player:

• Playlist Sidebar: See all videos in the current playlist on the right side.
• Navigation Controls: Use Previous/Next buttons to navigate between videos.
• Click to Jump: Click any video in the sidebar to jump directly to it.
• Auto-Advance: The player automatically moves to the next video when one finishes.
• Share Playlist: Copy a link to share the full playlist with others.
• Back to List: Return to the playlist view at any time.

• Click on "Shared Top20s" to see playlists shared by other users.
• Browse through the list and click "View Playlist" to see someone's selection.
• You can see how many selections each user has made and when they created their playlist.
• Select from others' playlists: If you find songs you like, you can add them to your own Top 20 directly from their playlist!
• Red heart icons show which songs you have in common with the playlist owner.
• Play All: Watch someone else's full playlist in the video player.

• Click on "Best of 2025 (til now)" to see the overall voting results.
• This page shows all songs that have received votes, sorted by popularity.
• You can see how many votes each song has received across all users.
• Vote directly from results: You can also select or unselect songs directly from this page to build your Top 20.
• Red heart icons indicate songs you've already selected.
• Play Top Videos: Use the video player to watch the most popular songs in order.

If you created an account, you can manage your profile:

• Click on your email in the header and select "Profile".
• Update your display name to personalize how you appear on shared playlists.
• Your display name will be shown instead of your email when others view your shared playlist.
• Changes are saved automatically.
